What do CyberVadis Medals Mean?

Earning a CyberVadis Medal instantly enhances your company's reputation and provides a competitive advantage, showcasing your commitment to cybersecurity to your clients, partners, and stakeholders.

The CyberVadis assessment measures your company's cybersecurity maturity, assigning a score between 0 and 1,000. Companies that complete the assessment and demonstrate a strong cybersecurity posture can earn a CyberVadis Medal.

Medal Thresholds

As of 01/01/2025, the following thresholds are used to determine eligibility for a CyberVadis Medal:

  • Platinum (950-1,000): The highest level of recognition, showcasing exceptional cybersecurity maturity.
  • Gold (900-949): Demonstrates an advanced cybersecurity posture and a commitment to excellence.
  • Silver (800-899): Recognizes a strong cybersecurity foundation and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Bronze (700-799): Highlights a solid level of cybersecurity awareness and implementation.

Important Note: Companies scoring below 700 do not qualify for a CyberVadis Medal, but they can request a CyberVadis Badge to highlight their achievement.


Frequently Asked Questions

CyberVadis Medals recognize companies that have successfully completed the CyberVadis evidence-based assessment and demonstrated strong cyber maturity aligned with ISMS criteria in our methodology. A medal signifies an achievement compared to other assessed companies in the CyberVadis database.

It's important to note that CyberVadis Medals or Badges are NOT certifications or endorsements of a company, its products, or services. They do not imply that a company's offerings are more secure than another’s. These recognitions simply reflect the company's commitment to improving its cybersecurity practices.

Additionally, earning a CyberVadis Medal or Badge doesn’t mean a company has no areas for improvement. Instead, they signal positive intent and progress in strengthening the company's security posture.

Assessed companies with an active subscription can proudly promote their CyberVadis Medal or Badge across various platforms, including social media, corporate websites, and other public and internal resources, to showcase their cybersecurity accomplishments and inspire others.

To be eligible for a CyberVadis Medal, a company must score above 700. Companies scoring below this threshold can also request a CyberVadis Badge to highlight their achievements.
